Crystal Palace produced a stunning first-half performance to thrash West Ham United 4-0 in the Premier League on Saturday. The Eagles scored four goals in the opening 31 minutes, leaving the Hammers shell-shocked and chasing the game from the start. Eberechi Eze opened the scoring in the 8th minute, firing a low shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box. Wilfried Zaha doubled the lead just three minutes later with a clinical finish after being played through on goal. Michael Olise extended the advantage in the 19th minute with a curling effort from outside the area. Jean-Philippe Mateta then put the icing on the cake in the 31st minute, heading home Zaha's cross to make it 4-0.West Ham struggled to create clear-cut chances and were unable to mount a comeback. Crystal Palace held firm at the back and protected their clean sheet throughout the match.
The victory moves Crystal Palace up to 10th in the Premier League table, while West Ham remain 16th and just three points above the relegation zone.
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner praised his team's performance, saying: "I'm very happy with the way we played today. We were dominant from the start and took our chances well. It was a great performance, especially in the first half."
